"Always Day Zero" ft. Aman Gupta

About Project

I treated this edit as an exercise in kinetic storytelling. I took a raw interview clip and transformed it into a dynamic, fast-paced narrative designed to stop the scroll and hold attention. By integrating bold typography, fluid transitions, and custom 2D/3D visual metaphors—specifically the blueprint and soldering sequences—I elevated a simple conversation into an inspirational brand story. My objective was to ensure the viewer could feel the energy and understand the weight of the message through visual cues alone, even with the sound off. This video was designed and edited by me for Midas Studio.

Challenges

  • Static Scene Engagement: The biggest hurdle was taking a “talking head” interview and making it visually stimulating for the entire duration without distracting from the core message.

  • Frame-Perfect Synchronization: Aligning rapid-fire motion graphics with specific audio cues and sound effects required surgical precision to maintain that “snappy,” professional feel.

  • Conceptual Visualization: I had to design original assets—like the circuit board patterns and product soldering animations—from scratch to illustrate the “journey of D2C” instead of relying on generic stock footage.

MY APPROACH

I started by building a dense audio foundation. Every transition, text pop, and visual shift is supported by custom sound effects to emphasize the key points in the dialogue. Taking a cue from the speaker’s energy, I used high-contrast typography and custom-modeled 2D/3D elements to visualize abstract concepts like "Herd Mentality" and "Market Opportunity." I utilized the "unSTARTED" brand palette to create a seamless bridge between the live-action footage and the motion graphics, making the overlays feel like a native part of the environment.
